Separate operator cancellation from customer preference. A customer who chooses not to travel may fall under a different policy than a location closed by the business. Counsel should review the language, and staff should receive examples so similar cases receive similar treatment.

Set a reopening checklist and prioritize customers according to the published process. Do not create unsafe congestion by trying to recover all lost revenue in the final hours of the day. If rescheduled duration is shortened, obtain clear customer agreement and adjust the financial record according to policy.

Record where the team hesitates or gives conflicting answers. Update authority, thresholds, message templates, customer options, and system permissions. A tabletop exercise is less expensive than discovering during a real event that no one knows how to block third-party inventory or approve refunds.
