Open the facility

Confirm that the site can receive staff and customers safely.

Inspect access areas, docks, ramps, fuel or charging points, office equipment, communication systems, emergency equipment, signage, lighting, and customer waiting areas. Conditions may have changed overnight because of weather, water level, security events, or maintenance.

Record issues and block affected areas or products immediately. Do not open online inventory for a location that cannot safely operate simply because the calendar was published in advance.

Close the fleet

Inspect returned units and create the next operational status before staff leave.

Each returned boat should receive the approved condition, fuel or charge, accessory, cleanliness, and damage review. Record new issues and place the correct hold immediately. A note saying “mechanic should look tomorrow” is not enough if the unit remains bookable online overnight.

Prepare units for storage, charging, fueling, security, and the next day's schedule according to manufacturer and local procedures. Confirm keys, chargers, documents, and accessories are accounted for.

Prepare the next-day handoff. Note boats awaiting inspection or repair, early departures, special customer requirements, staffing gaps, weather concerns, pending refunds, and unresolved incidents. The closing team's final product is an accurate starting point for the next opening team.

Put the revision date and version on printable and digital copies.
